About Us: Thanks to the organizing efforts of Port Washington retirees Toni Salerno, Betty McNally, Bette Stetson and George Williams, aided and "abetted" by Mary McWilliams, Sabina Brown and Ruth Brown (from retiree chapters in Retiree Council 19), the Retired Educators Chapter of the Port Washington Teachers Association made its debut in 1989. As a result of the dedication and hard work of many for over thirty years, we now have a membership roster of over 500 teachers, administrators, secretaries, nurses, & paraprofessional retirees. Our "good works" accomplishments are many and our social interactions cherished. Way to go, PWRE!
